第一张专辑let go发行于2002年，曲风主要是摇滚，有点朋克，如losing grip,skater boy.歌词全是自己写的，所以可以反映出她的内心世界，情感历程，和性格特点。losing grip就是跟她男友分手时写的，complicated则表示出了对人与人（特别是男女朋友）之间交往的伪装的反感，my world表现出的是真实的艾薇儿。那时候的艾薇儿性格上很豪爽，很活泼，但内心也是细腻的。

第二张专辑under my skin发行于2004年，朋克的味道稍浓了些，如my happy ending，who knows。其他方面都跟出第一张专辑时差不多。

第三张专辑the best damn thing发行于2007年，曲风更加朋克，又加入了很多说唱，流行的元素。如girlfriend,the best damn thing中就有很多说唱。这时候的艾薇儿已经结婚，所以之前的假小子性格稍微发生了改变，不过曲风比以前更喧嚣了。

第四张专辑goodbye lullaby发行于2011年，本来计划是在2009年就出的，但由于各种原因就拖到了11年。这时候的艾薇儿已经经历了婚姻失败，事业停滞的两大挫折。褪去了当年的锋芒，不再朋克，甚至连摇滚的味道也淡了许多。更多的是流行。有很多人说艾薇儿变了许多，变得平庸，变得没个性，变得随大流。我认为这么说的人完全误解了这张专辑，误解了艾薇儿。其实艾薇儿在经历了这么多事之后，很想出一张表达自己内心世界的专辑，虽然之前的专辑都表达了她的内心，但她现在的情感已经不适合用摇滚跟朋克来表达。经历过婚姻的她在情感上已经变得细腻，温柔更加有女人味，就像wish you were here中的i can be tough,i can be strong,but with you,it's not like that all.整张专辑都用比以前细腻的手法表现了她的内心世界和情感历程。不过除了what the hell，那纯粹是一首商业化的歌，它能表现出当年的艾薇儿，却无法表现现在的她。附上几首歌词：
